Zexion is a member of the Organization XIII and one of the primary antagonists of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. The Nobody of Ienzo, Zexion is a talented prodigy as well as a devious schemer and manipulator. He uses a magic book as his primary weapon of choice. He is a secondary player in the second Disney Villains War.

First Failure[]
Sent by the Organization to recapture Castle Oblivion from Maleficent and her forces, Zexion encounters Riku and Pete, two of her close allies, at the doorstep of the castle. Subverting Riku, he tells him that Maleficent is using him as pawn in her grand scheme. Not waiting for Riku to make up his mind, Pete knocks the young boy away and confronts Zexion himself. Zexion manages to fight off Pete's Heartless minions, throwing one of them into Pete's face, but Riku recovers, transformed into his dark form, and slashes Zexion across the chest. Badly wounded, Zexion teleported away.
The Battle at the World that Never Was[]
On Xemnas' orders, Zexion disguises himself as the boy Sora, Riku's childhood friend, giving the impression of him turning against the former. Confronting Riku and Maleficent on an illusionary world brought by Xemnas, "Sora" challenges Riku to a fight to the death, claiming that he is a creature of the dark, one that must be destroyed. As Riku collapses under Sora's assault, he blastes him with a wave of darkness, knocking him back. Regaining his footing, "Sora" strikes him with a blast of light energy from his keyblade, knocking him out. "Sora" looks on as Riku retreats from the world, following his trail back to the Organization's castle.
Soon enough, Riku unleashes Maleficent's darkness at the top of the castle, transforming her into a massive dragon. "Sora" arrives to kill Maleficent and Riku, binding the dragon with a blast of light energy. However, he is struck down by Riku's dark keyblade, revealing his true form as Zexion. As Maleficent recovers, Riku picks Zexion up and absorbs his power, killing him.
