Yoshi is an ally to Mario and is the main protagonist of his own series as well as Super Mario 64 DS along with Mario series tritagonist. Yoshi is playable in many Mario spin-off games and first appeared in Super Mario World for the SNES. He is also playable in every Super Smash Bros game to date. He is Mario's best friend and sidekick and Birdo's love interest.
He is voiced by legendary game creator Kazumi Totaka, who also voices Professor E. Gadd and Olimar.
