Yan Lin is a supporting character in the comic book series W.I.T.C.H.; she also appears in the French-American television series, based on the same comic book. A former Guardian of the Veil, and a former friend of Nerissa Crossnic, Yan Lin kept the Heart of Kandrakar safe until it could be passed down to the next generation. Currently, she assists the Guardians of Kandrakar, known by the group's name W.I.T.C.H.. Over the years, she conceived a family, making her by extend the grandmother of fellow W.I.T.C.H. member Hay Lin; helping her on several occasions, Hay Lin and her friends held her in high regards, respecting her as a benevolent mentor and mother figure.
She appears in the second Disney Heroes vs. Villains as among the wise officials affiliated with Merlin and his allies.
