Yami Marik, also known as Dark Marik in the Japanese and Manga versions and Melvin in the Abridged Series gag dub, is the final villain of the Battle City Finals Arc of the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga and second anime series, as well as the video game Yu-Gi-Oh! The Sacred Cards. He is the evil side of Marik Ishtar, as well as one of the few characters more evil and sadistic than Yami Bakura. He wields the Milennium Rod, which can control the minds of others and was the former holder of the Winged Dragon of Ra, one of the three powerful Egyptian God cards.
