Vs Hades[]
Wonder Man first appears in his human alias, a business man named Simon Williams. As it turns out, Xanatos is slowly destroying his company. Desiring revenge, Simon goes to Hades, who grants him super powers, turning him into the super villain, Wonder Man. However, not long afterwards, Hades informs Wonder Man that his powers come with a price, a life time of servitude. Enraged, Wonder Man challenges Hades, and a fight breaks out between the two. Wonder Man tries to blast Hades with a ball of energy, but he misses. Hades responds with a fireball, but Wonder Man dodges and hits his foe with an energy laser. This strike stuns the lord of the dead only briefly, inspiring him to summon a group of dead hands to drag Wonder Man to the underworld. Wonder Man starts flying and assumes a giant form to grab Hades; once Wonder Man has his foe in his clutches, Hades summons a tremendous amount of energy and combusts Wonder Man's hand. As Wonder Man writhes in pain, Hades casts a spell to disintegrate his foe, leaving him for dead.
With the Masters of Evil[]
Wonder Man miraculously survives. Puzzled, Wonder Man soon discovers that the Enchantress has revived him. She enlists him for her project: the Masters of Evil. When the Masters of Evil are complete, they storm the Forbidden Mountains: the lair of Hades's partner, Maleficent. However, the faction encounters the Sorcerer's Society, a group of trained magical mercenaries intent on wiping out the faction. Wonder Man is the first of the Masters of Evil to perish, taken out by Mozenrath before he can even launch an attack.
