Wales is a country, that it is part of the island of Great Britain, and by extended to the United Kingdom. It is bordered by England to the east, the Irish Sea to the north and west, and the Bristol Channel to the south. Its origins and nationality existed since the era of Britons after the Roman withdrawn from Britain in the 5th century, and it is regarded as one of the modern Celtic nations. Initially, a country filled with an agricultural society, Wales has been progressed to become as one of the industrial nations. On an interesting note, Wales' economy has been depended on the public sector, light and service industries and tourism. Although Wales closely shares its political and social history with the rest of Great Britain, and a majority of the population in most areas speaks English as a first language, the country has retained a distinct cultural identity and is officially bilingual. The Welsh language is spoken by a majority of the Great Britain's population.
Regarding the villain tournaments, Wales has been referred and mentioned as the nationality of heroes, particularly Taran, Princess Eilonwy, and Fflewddur Fflam (a group of fictional characters existing on the Lloyd Alexander's novel, The Chronicles of Prydain, and the resulted film adaptation, The Black Cauldron) have been said that they originated from Welsh bloodline. The heroes appear as central players in the villain tournaments context.
