Tulio is one of the two main protagonists of the Dreamworks animated movie, The Road to El Dorado. A Spanish con artist and best friend of fellow fraudster Miguel, Tulio acts as the voice of reason to his companion, keeping him on the straight and narrow. After setting off to a voyage to the Golden City of El Dorado, Tulio falls in love with one of the inhabitants of the legendary city, the seductive yet kind Chel. The trio combined their strength and cunning to defeat the wicked priest Tzekel Kan, and saved the city from the Spanish forces led by Cortez. Tulio is amongst the heroes who became involved in Heroes vs. Villains War after several villains considered them threats to plans, including the wicked judge of Paris Claude Frollo.
