The Witches of Morva

The Witches of Morva, known as Orddu, Orwen, and Orgoch, are minor players in the villains tournaments and are secondary antagonists in the Disney film The Black Cauldron. In the original book series by Lloyd Alexander, however, the witches have affiliation with neither good nor evil. Generally, the witches serve as underlings to higher powers, often serving under Maleficent or Hades.

Maleficent's Assassins

The Witches of Morva guard the cursed sword, Drynwyn, in their swamps. Ruber, convinced by Maleficent to find the blade, arrives with two soldiers to recapture the blade. The witches are more than prepared, enchanting the swamps to kill his two henchmen. Orddu even manages to separate the sword welded to Ruber's arm. Ruber flees the battle rather than risk his life further. It is revealed in the epilogue, however, that the Witches had been tasked by Maleficent to kill Ruber when he arrived.

A Disapproving Audience

The witches find their power threatened when Jafar becomes Maleficent's new servant. The three laugh when Jafar is tasked to revive Diablo from the dead, but soon find themselves in awe after the former vizier succeeds. Jafar later eliminates Ruber, to the witches' everlasting shame. All the same, they rejoice along with Maleficent and the other allies.

The Battle of the Forbidden Mountains

The three eventually return to the fray in the Battle of the Forbidden Mountains, facing off against the forces of Skeletor. Orwen and Orgoch work to incapacitate Beast Man, one of Skeletor's generals, knocking the warrior off his perch and into the thicket. Orwen later increases the size and strength of Abis Mal, though he is ultimatey defeated. The three rejoice when Maleficent, aided by Hades, triumphs.

Teaming with Hades

Seeking knowledge of the future without the Fates, Hades paid a visit to the famed Witches of Morva, who informed him of a lost gate that might hold the answer to reclaiming the Underworld.

Scared some ghosts

Keeping watch on Forbidden Mountain's lower levels, Pain and Panic were ambushed by the Lonesome Ghosts, who had been sent as scouts to analyse the citadel's defenses. Pitting their demonic powers against the Ghosts' trickery, Hades' goons soon found themselves overwhelmed. Just as it appeared the Ghosts were about to win, the Witches of Morva intervened, chasing the Ghosts off with their presence alone.

Messing with Fates

The enraged Hades prepared to battle Facilier for the throne, unaware that the treacherous Fates were plotting to cut his life-thread, ending his immortal life. Arriving in the nick of time, the Witches of Morva rendered Hades' thread unbreakable, foiling the assassination attempt.

Vs Dr.Facilier

Having lost nearly everything in the attack on Paris, Hades sought out the Witches of Morva, his last potential allies. With nothing left to lose, he ordered them to find and kill Facilier, whatever the cost. The Witches found the sorcerer as he reclaimed his talisman, but they managed to shatter it with a magic blast. At that moment, to the surprise of everyone, the Horned King arrived, having found out that the Black Cauldron was here as well. The Witches made to attack him before he could access the Cauldron's power, but the King was faster and he managed to annihilate the Witches' souls with the artifact. The King then turned his attention to Facilier, who narrowly escaped death by blowing dust into the King's face and beating a hasty retreat.

Vs Morbius

The vampire, Morbius, infiltrates the witches' marshes, trying to intimidate the witches into providing a cure for his vampirism. The witches spurn his attempt, with Orgoch turning the vampire into a massive bat monster. Amused by Morbius's plight, they instruct him to travel to the castle of the Horned King to find a cure.

A deal

In the Jolly Roger, the Magic Mirror show to Hook and Gaston about the King's ceremony, Gaston still infuriated of having done nothing in a Year, hopefully Hook starts his plan in action as the Witches of Morva appear and the good old pirate has a deal they'll surely take.

Vs Pikachu

Pikachu hears rumors of a sword so powerful and decides to find it in the swamps of Morva to give it to Judge Ash Ketchum. But he has to get the sword fast or else the Witches of Morva will come get him.

In Narissa's faction

Queen Narissa is furious of the Witches of Morva's recent failure to destroy Ash and his friends when suddenly Yzma shows up being transformed back into a human as well as joining Narissa's alliance.

Meeting Mozenrath

All this is being watched by the Witches of Morva who see Mozenrath a better sorcerer and plan to bring him into Narissa's alliance.

Bringing the new allies

Meanwhile, Narissa is pleased of Hook's success of defeating Gary Oak and the Witches of Morva bring in three new members into her alliance: Mozenrath, the Huntsman, and the Huntsgirl.

New orders

Suddenly a very dark soul comes in to be resurrected, and Narissa order the Witches of Morva to bring him back to life and give a restored reliquary.

Arriving

Meanwhile, Captain Hook calls Rasputin, Mozenrath, the Huntsman, Fright Knight, and the newly resurrected Scar, so they can decide how to help plan the assault in France. Suddenly, Yzma comes into the room, and has already decided with the help from the Witches of Morva, and DNAmy.

Vs May

With the request of Rasputin, Yzma dispatches the Witches of Morva into destroying whatever threats they come across that might something to do with Jafar. The witches agree to, and manage to stumble across May, and as a fight occurs, May has her Pokémon that can easily outwit their magic. This could be the end of the Witches of Morva.

Vs Tiana,Naveen,Kuzco and Pacha

Exploring the swamps, Kuzco, Pacha, Naveen, Tiana and their friends stumbled across an old cottage. Louis and Ray were hesitant about entering, but the others decided to brave it, hopeful that whoever lived inside could help return Kuzco, Naveen, and Tiana to their human selves. However, the owners of the cottage, the sinister Witches of Morva, had other ideas, turning Pacha into a frog and toying with him. Turning Tiana back into a human, the Witches told her they would make the transformation permanent if she agreed to let them turn the others into frogs and eat them all. Despite the Witches' promise that she would not be harmed, Tiana refused, saying that she was willing to stay a frog and die with her friends rather than abandon them. As the Witches prepared to take Pacha away and eat him anyway, Tiana came to his defense, threatening the Witches and demanding they release him. At last, the Witches agreed to a compromise: they returned Pacha to human form and transformed Tiana back into a frog, telling them they were free to leave. However, if the group couldn't find a way to return to human form without the help of the Witches, they would all be turned into frogs and eaten. Tiana and the others agreed to the Witches' terms, not knowing that the Witches were in league with the Horned King and planned to keep the group from becoming human by any means necessary.

Angry

The Witches of Morva watched with delight as Kuzco and Naveen's group searched in vain for a way to become human and stave off the Witches' plans for them. Suddenly, they were found by Rafiki, who said he could help them, much to the Witches' dismay.

Vs Team Human Again

As Team Human Again searched Yzma's lab for a potion that could turn them human, they were met by Yzma, who revealed that she had snatched the last potion in anticipation of the heroes' arrival. To make matters worse, she was accompanied by the Witches of Morva, who told the group that, by taking assistance from a third party in their journey, they had broken their arrangement and would die for it. The Witches turned Kuzco into a frog to devour him, as Yzma summoned the Inca royal guard. As the Witches fired a magical blast at Pacha, he managed to dodge at the last moment, causing the spell to hit the guards and turn them into animals. Despite this setback, the guards charged in regardless, accompanied by the Witches. Seeing the Witches coming to eat Kuzco, Pacha knocked over some potions to stun them. As the smoke cleared, the heroes spotted the lamp Rafiki had mentioned, lunging for it at the same time as Yzma. Naveen grabbed it with his tongue and rubbed it, releasing Merlin, who had been trapped ever since the battle with Hades and Jafar. Eager for revenge, Merlin transformed one of the Witches into a squirrel before teleporting himself and the heroes to safety.

Karai is visited three certain witches which informs her that Horned King will betray her new adoptive father due to becoming too soft.Angered by hearing this,Karai swears that she shall rid of the warlord not knowing that she felt into the witches trap.The Horned King congratulates the three certain witches for their succes of brainwashing Karai and offering them acces on his cauldron.
