The Unicorn
The Unicorn is the eponymous protagonist of the Rankin/Bass animated film, The Last Unicorn, based on the book of the same name. A mythical talking creature with a host of incredible powers, the Unicorn once sought to find the Red Bull, a demon responsible for the disappearance of her race, accompanied by the magician Schmendrick, the traveling woman Molly Grue, and the benevolent Prince Lir. While many threats stood up in their way, including the witch Mommy Fortuna, and the twisted King Haggard, the Unicorn and her friends surpassed the challenges and freed the rest of the Unicorns from the Red Bull's tyranny. The Unicorn also appears in Heroes vs. Villains in a role similar to the original film, providing moral support to her new friends and allies in their fight against the villains, though she is capable of fighting on her own against the forces of evil.
Lady Amalthea, the human alias of the Unicorn, having being transformed by Odin during the events of Heroes vs. Villains. Restored to her previous form during the battle of the Horned King's castle.
