The Meta is the primary antagonist of the The Recollection story arc of the popular web series, Red vs. Blue. The Meta is a minor player in the Non Disney Villains Tournament.

The Meta's exploits attract the attention of Repton, who attacks the Meta in order to eliminate him from the war. The Meta activates his stealth camouflage, but Repton's enhanced sense of smell prevents it from being very effective. Thus, the Meta is forced to use his grenade launcher to keep Repton at bay. The Meta outboxes Repton, punching him aside, but Repton sweeps his legs with his tail. The Meta gets up and hurls a grenade at his foe, keeping him at bay. Repton soon gets onto a flying motorcycle, firing upon the Meta from above. The Meta uses his bubble shield in order to take out the shots; he then rocket jumps up into the air to get in a shot at Repton. This proves to be a fatal mistake, as Repton attaches a cable to the Meta, hooking him to the out of control flying motorcycle. When the motorcycle crashes, the Meta dies.
