The Great Owl is a supporting character in Don Bluth's animated film The Secret of NIMH. A wise, yet monstrous, owl who lives in a hollow tree, deep beneath in an unknown forest. He appears in Heroes vs. Villains, as one of the Wise Faction's members, provoking the animal heroes, including Mrs. Brisby and the League of Extraordinary Gentlemice, to strike against the villain alliance.
