
The Blue Meanies are the main villains, turned anti-heroic presences, of the animated musical film Yellow Submarine. An army of blue monsters led by their chieftain and his lackey Max, they display a great loathing over emotion and music. The Blue Meanies are not popular monsters in contemporary media, gaining limited and minor appearances in other series outside the original film. Nevertheless, they are featured as minor players in the villain tournaments.
Personalities And Traits[]
Chief of the Blue Meanies: Also known as Chief Blue Meanie, the Chief is the leader of the Blue Meanies. His every command is a desire for the Meanies.
Max: The second-in-command captain of the Chief Blue Meanie. Despite his high ranking status, even the lowest ranking Meanie can outrank him.
The Common Blue Meanies: The common foot army. Unlike their chieftain, the Common Blue Meanies are smaller in size. Another difference is that they wear a Mickey Mouse hat, with the exception of Max and the chieftain who wear a Goofy hat, as well as wearing a pair of yellow and orange striped tights. Their weapons are guns which can drain the happily emotions of people, turning them into grey statues.
The Apple Bonkers: These are tall and thin Meanies resembling Victorian undertakers who can walk from hill to hill at a stride. Their weapons are Green Baldwin Apples which they use to hit people and turning them into grey statues.
The Butterfly Stompers: Blue creatures with an appearance of a cat who wear a number on their chest. Their favourite hobby is to stomp on butterflies just for fun of it.
Hidden-Persuader Men: One of the most rarest types of the race. They are tall, fat, and bald creatures who have a cigar on the one hand a martinis on the other. Of particular note, the martinis have eyes instead of olives. While looking harmless at first glance, they have their ace on their feet,which reveal a revolver, ready to shoot at anyone player.
Jack-The-Nippers: One of the most rarest types of the Blue Meanies. They are tall, muscular and half bald heads. Alongside with facial mustaches, they also wear sunglasses and green tail-coats and have reptilian heads for hands. These Meanies are considered powerful due to their hands resembling a head of an alligator, which can bite anyone and anything that stands stands in their way. The only weakness is when they bite with their hands, their tongue accidentally causes them to suffer in pain.
Snapping-Turtle-Turks: One of the most powerful creatures of the same species. They have the appearance of Middle-Eastern men, most notably Turkish men. They appear as fat Meanies due to their stomach-belly possessing a real alligator head. Much like the Jack-The-Nippers, the Snapping-Turks can bite fiecerly someone with their stomach-belly or bite other objects,.
Countdown Clowns: Blue Meanies who have the appearance of childish clowns. They are extremely dangerous because they can scream loudly while spinning their heads when an intruder enter their area, calling the other Meanies to attack. Another reason why they are dangerous is because they have big red nose buttons. Although they don't have arms to press their button, they call upon the Common Blue Meanies to press them, either by bringing a lander or climbing on top of their shoulders, causing explonsions whenever the Clowns target their rivals.
The Dreadful Flying Glove: The strongest member of the Blue Meanies. Although he appears as a flying hand, his gestures and characteristics resemble more of a face. His power can smash buildings with one shot. He can also has the affection of the other Blue Meanies by turning people happy emotions and colors into despair and grey color. In the movie, he is the primary weapon of the Chief Blue Meanie until his defeat from the Beatles Band.
The Four-Headed Dog: The beloved and loyal guard of the Blue Meanies. As its namesake, he is only one dog that it has four heads. His only action is to bark loudly, both for calling the other Meanies when an intruder invades their territory and for scaring their rivals upon confronting the creature.

Vs Blackwolf's Army[]
The wizard Blackwolf has amassed a powerful Mutant army in his control and he wanted to be tested by eliminating the people of Pepperland. When the Chief Blue Meanie spots the mutants killing many Pepperlanders, he orders to stop them, fearing that they would be the next targets of Blackwolf's wrath. As it looks that the Blue Meanies have the upper hand, Blackwolf enters the fray and reveals some visions of Adolf Hitler and Nazi soldiers. Frightened by this show of power, the Meanies are forced to retreat to the mountains, despite the warnings of their leader to return and fight. Their fate afterwards remains currently unknown.
Heroes Vs Villains War[]
Serving Grimhilde[]
Patroling the Blue Mountains in Pepperland, the Blue Meanies are approached by El Supremo, Messina, and Tzekel Kan, allies of Queen Grimhilde. The messengers ask them to join Grimhilde's cause, in exchange of spreading their influence upon the world, as well as being granted a territory from Grimhilde's empire. Intrigued by their offering, the Blue Meanies agree to serve their cause. Later, the Meanies encounter many heroes in a field, included Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Rabbit, Eeyore, Tigger, Brer Rabbit, Panchito Pistoles, José Carioca, Pecos Bill, Peter, a group of Russian hunters, Bongo, a group of bears, Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Petrie, and Spike. Ordered to stop the heroes at all cost, the Chief Blue Meanie orders his Meanie army to attack the heroes. While some of them, fell off to the heroes, including the Dreadful Flying Glove, the leader and the other Meanies, manage to frightnen away the heroes and corner them into a nearby dead end with the help of the Countdown Clowns. As they believe they have the upper hand, the Aracuan Bird shows up and shows his bird beak that scares off the Meanies. Frightened by the beak, the Meanies retreat back to Grimhilde's castle to regroup.
The Siege of Grimhilde's Castle[]
After a series of events, Grimhilde put the Blue Meanies to good use as soldiers defending the castle. As word of the resistance's siege to Grimhilde's castle reaches Grimhilde's allies, Grimhilde ordered the Chief Blue Meanie and Yzma to guard the keep. As the heroes led by Aladdin and his allies arrive to the castle, they are greeted by the Blue Meanies at the castle gates. Using their arsenal, the Blue Meanies fight their way through the heroes on purpose to repel them from reaching the castle. Yet, they are outnumbered by the reinforcements, sent by Merlin, leaving them defenseless against the heroes. Ultimately, they are forced to abandon their position, as the heroes break through their ranks.
Serving Maliss[]
After Grimhilde's death, the Chief Blue Meanie and his army pledge their loyalties to her brother, Lord Maliss, who swears vengeange against those who killed her beloved sister, a thought passed by the Chief as well. Later on, Maliss joins Rothbart's cause to stop the resistance from reaching Bald Mountain. Catching up with Hercules' team of heroes, Rothbart, Maliss, and the Chief Blue Meanie ambush the heroes and send their minions to attack them. Unfortunately, they are no match against the combined man-power of the heroes, who force them back. Ultimately, Rothbart and Maliss are killed in action, leaving the Meanies without a patron to serve them.
Defeat[]
With nothing else to lose, the Chief Blue Meanie and his remain Meanie army ambush the heroes near Bald Mountain, using their arsenal to disperse most of the heroes. As many Meanies attempt to end the heroes through their tactics, they are taken by surprise by Sharptooth's reveal, startling both the Meanies and the heroes. Terrified by its immense size and fierce nature, the Meanies panick and flee away from his direction. In spite of their Chief's warnings to return and fight back, the Meanies retreat, dragging the Chief and his sidekick Max along the way back to Pepperland, never to be seen again.
