Te Fiti

Te Fiti's benevolent appearance

Te Fiti is a major character in the Disney animated feature film, Moana. An ancient Polynesian goddess, Te Fiti is a powerful divine deity, using her heart to spread the gift of life across the Polynesian Islands, creating multiple islands inhabited by flora, fauna, and humans. When the demi-god Maui stole her heart during his early exploits, Te Fiti's power decreased, allowing the gift of life to be eradicated from existence. By that point, Te Fiti was transformed into Te Kā, a colossal burning demon emerging from a volcano, spreading chaos and destruction as punishment for Maui's insolence. It was through the convincing of the sailor Moana, who returned her heart to Te Fiti, to restore the goddess to her benevolent appearance. Congratulating Maui and Moana for their contributions, Te Fiti restored the habitat of the Polynesian Islands, before she laid to rest, knowing her heart was secured from future raiders.

Te Fiti also appears in the second Disney Heroes vs. Villains as one of the divine deities of the CG realm, with Te Kā serving as one of overarching antagonists of the series.
