Theodore Jasper Detweiler, commonly known as T.J. Detweiler by his peers, is the main protagonist of the Disney's television series Recess. The sophisticated leader of the Recess Gang, a group of misfits aiming to live the best moments of their lives at the Third Street School, T.J. appears as a kindhearted and friendly student with a strong sense of justice. Known for accomplishing the impossible through clever and ingenious tricks, T.J. acts as a paragon for his fellow students, usually commited to his duty in helping others, gaining respect from friends and enemies alike.
