Stanley Pines, commonly known as simply Stan Pines or Grunkle Stan, and his formerly assumed identity Stanford Pines, is one of the main protagonists/anti-heroes of the Disney XD's television series Gravity Falls. The estranged brother of Ford Pines and the uncle of Dipper and Mabel, Stan is a devious salesman of Gravity Falls' Mystery Shack, eager to sell the Shack's knick-knacks, trinkets and baubles for exorbitant prices, while at the same time a professional gambler and fraudster capable of outwitting his rivals when it comes to illegal gambling. Nevertheless, he has a heart of gold when it comes to family matters, assisting directly (or indirectly on several occasions) his family in solving the cases of the Gravity Falls' supernatural phenomenons, and fighting evil forces like Bill Cipher that threaten their town. He appears in the second Disney Heroes vs. Villains and Heroes vs. Villains as one of the new prominent heroes who clash with the forces of evil.
