Sora as a child
Sora is the main protagonist of the Kingdom Hearts video game franchise. A wise and friendly teenager, Sora has the power to wield a mysterious weapon known as the Keyblade. Backed up by his friends, Sora saves the universe from the forces of evil and battles various villains, including Master Xehanort, his other vessels, Maleficent, and her forces. Sora appears in the second Disney Heroes vs. Villains as one of the prominent leaders of the CGI universe.

A Terrible Twist[]
Living happily with his friends at Destiny Islands, Sora, Riku and Kairi meet a terrible fate, as Maleficent awakens Riku's inner darkness, causing a massive destruction on the island. Sora survives the cataclysm, though at a cost; he is plunged into a state of deep slumber. He is recovered by Pitch Black, who keeps him in Castle Oblivion after learning his connections with Riku For Sora, a tragic fate will change his life. While Pitch distracts Riku by fighting him, he has his nightmares to corrupt the heart of Sora, turning him into a newly born dark essence. Thus Vanitas is born. Impresonation of the Real Character[]
While Sora physically doesn't appear, Zexion, one of the Organization XIII's members, impersonates Sora on purpose to trick Riku. During the Battle at the World that Never Was, Riku and Maleficent confront Zexion (disguised as Sora), in the citadel of the Organization. Riku and Zexion then clash with their keyblades, with no one getting the upper hand. When Zexion stands back after Riku blows dark aura at his enemy, he strikes back, blasting a powerful shot at Riku, knocking him out. Zexion looks on as Riku retreats from the citadel.
Unmasked[]
However, his tenure will not last long, as a rejuvenated Riku re-enters the citabel, transforming Maleficent into a dragon. Seeing Maleficent's uprising, Zexion, still in the form of Sora, uses the Keyblade's powers to struck Maleficent down. However, Riku, sensing the deeper darkness of his former friend, uses his keyblade to reveal the real mastermind, forcing Zexion to revert to his his previous state.
Disney Villains War 3[]
Meanwhile, the real Sora has been in a state of sleep. He is collected by Young Xehanort. The latter delivers the sleeping vessel to Count Dooku, not only as a token of his gratitude, but also as a trap for Riku into. Indeed, Riku fights his way through the ranks of the Seekers of Darkness, only to become a vessel serving under them, transforming into Ansem, the Seeker of Darkness, in the process.

Disaster[]
Sora as a 16 year old teenager
Sora is living a normal life in the CGI Universe until Maleficent decides to make her presence known by causing a terrible disaster, making the Heartless appear out of nowhere and causing supernatural disasters. In the chaos, Sora finds Riku, though Riku mentions the chance of traveling to the other worlds. Confused, Sora listens on as Riku explains that once they travel to the other worlds, there will not be a chance to turn back. Suddenly, a pool of darkness appears, sucking both Sora and Riku to other parts of the world.

Oswald, separated from the Big Hero 6, happens encounters Sora, who is in a coma. When Oswald checks in on a closer look, he recognizes the Keyblade in his possession. Oswald decides to take him to Yen Sid.
Revealation[]
When Sora wakes up from his coma, he sees a vision of his childhood friend, Kairi. However, the vision is shattered when "Kairi" is revealed to be a witch, who frightens Sora at first glance. When Grand Pabbie arrives, he explains to Sora that he is in Yen Sid's mysterious tower, having been sent there by Oswald. He then tells him that he is holding the Keyblade, a mighty weapon, and that he is the chosen one to wield it. Uncertain of the situation, Sora is left puzzled. The witch then explains a tale in which former champions of the light and the keyblade perished in a battle against the forces of darkness. After the lecture, Grand Pabbie and the witch inform Sora his duty as a Keyblade wielder, telling him to protect the world from the threat posed by the villain alliance. As Oswald is concerned for his safety, Sora accepts his new mission.
Vs The Shadow Blot[]
Just then, Sora is ambushed by the Shadow Blot, an ancient entity released into the world. Having no other option, Sora decides to fight that monster. The Shadow Blot blasted ooze of ink at Sora, only for him to deflect most of his blasts. Changing tactics, the Shadow Blot tosses him through the wall before re-emerging as a giant pool of darkness underneath Sora's feet, which nearly swallows him alive. At that point, the supers Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl save Sora in the nick of time, dragging him out of the Blot's reach. Backed up by the supers, Sora manages to deliver a decisive blow against the monster, forcing it to retreat. At the behest of Mr. Incredible, Sora joins his party in order to survive the dangers of the world.
