Shang Tsung is a major antagonist in the Mortal Kombat universe, running the Mortal Kombat competition on Earth. He is a minor player in the second Disney Vs Non Disney Villains War.
Disney Vs Non Disney Villains - Part Two[]
Shang Tsung pressures the pirate captain,Davy Jones, into entering the Mortal Kombat tournament. Jones rebuffs his attempts. Tsung, however, does not take no for an answer. Therefore, he arranges an agreement with Jones: he will leave Jones alone should he defeat Goro, current champion of the Mortal Kombat contest. After Jones soundly trumps Goro, Tsung looks on as Goro falls to his death.

Non Disney Villains Tournament[]
Under the orders of Shao Kahn, Shang Tsung teleports Quan Chi to the CGI realm. Unbeknownst to him, the Shredder has also been teleported to the CGI universe. While Kahn allies with Lord Shen, Shang Tsung begins raising an army of the undead, ending up discovered by Tighten. Tsung proceeds to drain away the hero's soul.
Defeat[]
Shang Tsung encounters the Shredder, along with his protegé, Karai. The two are trying to steal an amulet from Quan Chi that enables Tsung to control the army of the undead. Shang Tsung and Quan Chi square off against the two, with Shang Tsung fighting the Shredder when Quan Chi is unable to defeat him. Shang Tsung fights the Shredder to a standstill, but the Shredder gets in a lucky kick and knocks Shang Tsung away. While Quan Chi distracts the Shredder, Shang Tsung gets up and harnesses soul energy to knock the Shredder away. Suddenly, a great evil arrives and takes control of the undead army. Shang Tsung's body is then destroyed in a fiery blast.
