Samwise Gamgee, commonly known as Sam by his peers, is one of the primary protagonists of the series, The Lord of the Rings. A hobbit gardener, Sam appears as the best friend of Frodo Baggins. He also appears as a member of the Fellowship of the Ring, a group tasked to seek the One-Ring, an object with incredible dark power, and destroy it. Sam also appears in Heroes vs. Villains as one of the minor combatants who assist the heroes in the fight against the forces of evil.
