River Styx is the river that forms the boundary between Earth and the Underworld ruled by Hades in ancient Greek mythology. It is the passageway of the dead, where the souls pass into the afterlife, guided by Charon's ferryboat. The river also appears in the Disney animated film Hercules in the form of a vortex, where the souls wander relentlessly. The Disney's version of River Styx also appears in the villain tournaments, reminiscing its role to that of the original adaptation.
