Meridian (also known as Metamoor or Metaworld) is a fictional location, first appearing in the comic book series as well as the television series, W.I.T.C.H.. A planet ruled by a monarch which it has bestowed upon itself a powerful and mystical source of energy, known as the Heart of Meridian, Meridian is divided into two species of characters: the Galhot and the Escanor, both of whom co-exist as subjects to the capital. At times it is threatened by various evil forces, including the twisted Prince Phobos, and the former benevolent guardian Nerissa, though it meets resistance from unlikely heroes like Caleb, or the W.I.T.C.H. members.
Regarding the villains tournaments, Meridian appears in a minority in the series, although it is greatly featured in the second Disney Heroes vs. Villains War.
