Lurtz is one of Saruman's Uruk-Hai and a minor antagonist in Peter Jackson's film adaptation of the Lord of the Rings series. An original villain created for the movie, Fellowship of the Ring, Lurtz is a lethal killer destroying anyone in his way. He is a minor player in the second Disney Vs Non Disney Villains War.

Saruman successfully creates Lurtz and several other Uruk-Hai to aid Sauron in the villains war. He sends Lurtz to the lair of Jadis, where he believes the One Ring has been hidden. Lurtz crushes Jadis's chief of police, Maugrim, with a cavalcade of icicles shattered by his bow. She ends up fleeing the battle, engaging Saruman at his home.

However, Lurtz is quickly undone for in the beginning of the third war. After Saruman orders him to collect the One-Ring from the cluctches of Rumpelstiltskin, he encounters the young boy, Baelfire, wandering in the woods. Before Lurtz would shot him dead, Rumpelstiltskin rushes off and protects his son by challenging the Uruk-Hai warrior. Lurtz draws his sword to the Dark One, only to be stopped in the midair by Rumpelstiltskin. The Dark One then proceeds to behead Lurtz with a quick swing of his sword.
