Lord Darkar is a major antagonist in the second season of the Winx Club franchise. A powerful being known as the Shadow Phoenix, Darkar is a minor player in the Non Disney Villains Tournament.

Darkar is waiting in his lair when Dracula appears with his protege, Myotismon. Darkar readies himself for battle, striking Myotismon with a blast of dark energy. Myotismon recovers quickly, firing an energy blast of his own, but Darkar anticipates the attack and sets up a shield. Darkar then unleashes a massive onslaught, encasing Myotismon in dust. But Myotismon flies out of the dust and strikes Darkar several times with his dark whip. Outmatched, Darkar is forced to flee.

Vs Mumm-Ra[]
Continuing his campaign to expand his influence by eliminating powerful targets, Skeletor tasks Mumm-Ra with eliminating the Black Phoenix, Lord Darkar. Mumm-Ra, eager to demonstrate his power to his allies, confronts Darkar at his castle, but the Black Phonenix does not plan to go down so easily, but Mumm-Ra killed the phoenix.

Lord Darkar enters into the war and manages to create an army for himself.After just entering the war, Lord Darkar visits Skeletor and Mumm-Ra and asks them to join forces which Skeletor gladly accepts the request.

While The Horned King and Jafar were discussing about killing Skeletor and his allies, Kerborg was spying on them and fleed after they finished talking.Kerborg arrived on Darkar's hand and informed him about Jafar and Horned King's recent alliance. Angered, Skeletor and Darkar decided to prepare their troops and conquer Agrabah for themselves.

The Emperor of Night decided to rid of an old rival of his, The Devil, so he revived Darkar to help him out. Lord Darkar agrees with the conditions if he will be freed after he wins. Impressed, Emperor of Night accepts, sending Lord Darkar to The Devil's Carnival. The Devil was stealing souls until Lord Darkar arrived to challenge Devil into a fight. Devil took his pitchfork next to Darkar, creating a powerful fireblast that could kill The Pheonix Knight in an instant. Angered, Darkar used his claw to prepare while The Devil was near to him. The Devil fires a lot of fireblasts, but Lord Darkar dodged them, leaving Devil shocked. Lord Darkar creates a shield to protect himself from The Devil attacks. However, The Devil transform and created his most powerful fireblast, burning and killing Darkar in the process. After Darkar was killed, The Devil took his soul and trapped it down in Hell.
