Karl Ruprecht Kroenen is the secondary antagonist of the 2004 film, Hellboy. A Nazi with a blade attached to his hands, Karl is a minor player in the Non Disney Villains Tournament.

Kroenen is the top assassin of Hans Landa, a Nazi officer working on a means to jump through dimensions. Since most of Landa's test subjects have disappeared, Landa wants Kroenen to go through the portal. Kroenen does so, encountering a mysterious police officer. He guns the officer down, but the officer is revealed to be the alloy assassin, the T-1000. Karl brandishes his blades in response, even outlasting the T-1000's bullets. He stabs the T-1000, but he gets his hand stuck inside the alloy. Just when Kroenen gets his hand free, the T-1000 pushes him into a headstone and impales him.
Still Alive
Kroenen, having replaced most of his body with clockwork, manages to survive his bout with the T-1000. He takes up work with Rasputin, dueling with the serial killer, Freddy Krueger. When Freddy lunges at Karl, Karl slices his foe's arm clean off. Karl then chops off the other arm, but he is surprised when Freddy grows both of them back. Freddy then slashes most of Kroenen's mask off. It takes Rasputin's magic to finish Krueger off.
