The sequence of the mutation and slow progress of death of the Japanese has been acclaimed as one of the most disturbing moments in fiction. The archive footage of the citizens is used to represent the deaths of the innocent non-combatants of Bald Mountain by Chernabog's evil in Heroes vs. Villains War.
