Ivan Romanov

Ivan Romanov is a supportive figure in the Don Bluth direct-to-video film, Bartok the Magnificent, the prequel to the better-known film, Anastasia. Based on the real life Tsar of Russia, Ivan is portrayed as a child, in his preteens, mostly spending his time on entertainment and trick perfomances, making him a good friend with the bat-performer, Bartok, rather than with his social and political activities of his country. Due to his extreme desires of partaking in social events, and humiliating his royal duties, including his advisor, Ludmilla, he makes a great foe, by the latter, who wishes to dispose of him in secret.

Regarding the villain tournaments, Ivan briefly appears in the first part of Disney vs. Non-Disney Villains War.

Disney Vs Non-Disney Villains War[]

Ruling over Russia, while spending his time at his palace in Moscow, Ivan gets a visit from the evil fairy, Maleficent, who threatens the young Tsar, by overtaking his kingdom, for her own measures. Although Ludmilla, his royal advisor, has other plans, she is nonetheless beaten by Maleficent, while being in her dragon form state, in which she had been transformed by a potion, given by Ludmilla's secret friend, Mok Swagger. Ivan Romanov does not appear for the rest of the series. It is assumed that he was disposed of, either by Maleficent, or another source of evil.
