Professor Hugo Strange is a DC Comics villain first appearing in 1940's Detective Comics #36, with many appearances since then including animated television and video games. One of Batman's first recurring enemies, Strange is a former criminal psychologist whose obsession with the Dark Knight's true identity led him to start committing crimes of his own to unmask Batman. He has appeared in both Non-Disney vs. DC Villains War and Video Game Villains War.

Non-Disney Vs DC Villains War

Hugo Strange appears as one of the Project Cadmus' colleagues. He is summoned by Kent Mansley, another addition to the group, where he informs about the severity of the situation, regarding about the crash of a "meteor", which he assumes that it is an unusual and different type of supernatural power, later revealed to be Brainiac's presence on Earth.

In the later events, Hugo Strange, alongside with Cadmus' new associate, Kirk Langstrom, perform his research on the alien warlord, Vilgax, brought unconscious by Bishop and Mr. Freeze, with intentions to learn his nature.
