Hopediah "Hop Pop" Plantar is a main character in Amphibia. He is the traditional and over-protective grandfather of Sprig and Polly, and the guardian of Anne Boonchuy, until she finally returned back to her home. He lives with his grandchildren and snail Bessie on the Plantar Farm in Wartwood Swamp, where he grows and sells many of his vegetable plants.
