Hogarth Hughes is the secondary protagonist of the animated movie The Iron Giant. A young and intelligent boy, yet an unsociable person with his surrounding enviroment, Hogart Hughes is the first person to discover the Iron Giant, a giant robot, originally designed to bring destruction and mayhem. He acts as a tutor to the robot's feelings, explaining to him the balance between good and evil. Though he managed to outwit the authorities, led by Kent Mansley and General Rogard, Hogarth has yet enough battle experience to deal with powerful foes like Emperor Zurg, as seen in Heroes vs. Villains War.
