Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III is the main protagonist of the Dreamworks's franchise, How to Train Your Dragon, based on Cressida Cowell's novel series. A Viking teenager, he is the son of Stoick the Vast, chieftain of the village of Berk. Though he lacks muscle and brute force unlike his fellow Viking friends, Hiccup relies on his intellect and strategic innovations to outwit many adversaries. He once managed to bridge the gap between vikings and dragons with the help of his best friend Toothless, earing their trust by the rule of "riding" dragons, not "killing" them.
Hiccup is set to appear in the second Heroes vs. Villains as a member of the Big Four, a group of misfits tasked to save the universe from the threat posed by the villain alliance.
