Glinda the Good Witch of the South is a benevolent witch ruling over the South section of the magical land of Oz, as well opposing her fellow witches the Wicked Witch of the West and the Wicked Witch of the East. She is a major character in L. Frank Baum's fiction novels Oz, as well as appearing in most of its resulted adaptations of the eponymous story.

While the most memorable and iconic portrayal of the character has been to the beloved actress Billie Burke in the 1939 MGM technicolor musical, The Wizard of Oz, a version of the character also appears in the 2013 Disney's live-action film, Oz the Great and Powerful.

That said, the Disney's version of the character appears in the second Disney Heroes vs. Villains war, corresponding as Oz's chief executive official summoned by Aslan on purpose to defend the live-action universe from the evil hordes of the villains.
