Ghost Rider

Johnny Blaze, also known as the Ghost Rider, is a superhero from Marvel Comics who first appeared in Marvel Spotlight #5; he was portrayed by Nicolas Cage in the 2007 Ghost Rider film and its sequel, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.

A stunt motorcyclist for the Quentin Carnival, Johnny was the adopted son of fellow stunt performer Barton Blaze. When Barton was diagnosed with terminal cancer, Johnny was approached by the Hell-Lord Mephisto, who offered to cure the disease in return for Johnny's soul. Desperate, Johnny agreed, and Mephisto indeed eliminated Barton's cancer... only for Barton to instead die in a stunt gone wrong. Mephisto claimed Johnny's soul, transforming him into his personal bounty hunter, the Ghost Rider. However, with the aid of his girlfriend Roxanne Simpson and former Ghost Rider Carter Slade, Johnny eventually broke free of Mephisto's control, vowing to use his powers to bring vengeance to the guilty.

Ghost Rider will appear in Disney vs. Comics, where he will aid the hero forces against Mephisto and his allies.
