General Zod is a minor antagonist in the DC Universe, featured as a minor nuisance to Superman, first appearing in Adventure Comics #283. A former Kryptonian military commander, exiled by his own people for treason, Zod survives the destruction of his homeland, having also developing a strong grudge against Superman's family. He purposely becomes member of the Kryptonian Military Guild and the Phantom Zoners, on purpose to strike back at Superman. While not physically seen, Zod's genetic material appears in the events of the Non-Disney vs. DC Villains War, sought after both non-Disney and DC villains respectively.
Non-Disney Vs DC Villains War
Zod's genetic material appears in the second round of the war, acquired by Parasite, for his own nefarious purposes. However, it is also after by the malevolent virus, Thrax, promoting the two villains to fight over it. By the end of the battle, the sample is aquired by Thrax, who in return delivers it to his employer, Mok.
