General Zaroff is the main antagonist of the short story The Most Dangerous Game and its many adaptations. He plays a large role in Nonspecific Villains War.
Nonspecific Villains War[]
vs Miles Bron[]
Zaroff was invited over to an island by the billionaire Miles Bron, who wanted to get him involved in a fake murder mystery. The General quickly figured out the answer, angering Bron who now had nothing to do for the next week. Secretly, Zaroff planned to kill Bron and take the island for himself, where he could use it for his grim hobby of hunting and killing humans. Bron grabbed a gun and attempted to kill Zaroff when he was hunting down some animals, but impulsively dropped the gun upon seeing Zaroff’s bow and arrow, which he then used to cause an explosion that killed Bron and left the island to himself.
Alliance with Ozymandias[]
Following his battle with Miles and taking off the Island, General Zaroff was, alongside a young pizza restaurant owner, visited by Ozymandias, who wished to ally with them both. Zaroff and the Pizza Man both agreed.
Rejecting Henry Van Statten from the alliance[]
Seeking to become a member of Veidt’s alliance, the owner of the internet, Henry Van Statten, talks with General Zaroff, who refuses the offer, citing Henry’s extremely arrogant and self-centered personality. Angered by his rejection, Henry instead makes a deal with Norman Osborn and joins the Joker’s alliance.
