General Mandible is the main villain in the 1998 computer-animated
film, Antz. He was voiced by Gene Hackman. He is the leader of the ant army and is similiar in some ways to Hopper from A Bug's Life, whom he battled in the Disney vs. Non-Disney Villains War.

Mandible is the right-hand man of Malthazar, but he decides to turn traitor and oust his superior from power. Malthazar does not go down without a fight, knocking Mandible aside with a sword. Mandible fights back, managing to knock Malthazar down. In the end, Malthazar proves stronger, hurling Mandible off a cliff to his death.
