Gandalf is one of the primary protagonists of the J. R. R. Tolkien's books The Lord of the Rings. A powerful Istari wizard with a host of powers, Gandalf is the official leader of the Fellowship of the Ring, a group tasked to seek the One-Ring, the only living remnant of the Dark Lord Sauron, and destroy to prevent Sauron's influence and power from prevailing into the world. He also joins the others in the fight against the armies of the Dark Lord and his servant Saruman from conquering the lands of the Middle-earth. However, Gandalf senses another source of evil other than the Dark Lord's during the events of Heroes vs. Villains War; thus, he takes Frodo Baggins, Samwise Gamgee and Aragorn on a quest to stop the source of evil from prevailing into the universe.

Originally called Olórin, he was accounted as the wisest of the Maiar (Celestial Being). He was created by God he's also known as Eru Illuvitar.
