Captain Phillip Hoffman

Captain Phillip Hoffman (also known as Phillip the Nutcracker) is the eponymous protagonist of the Disney's live-action film The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, based on E. T.A. Hoffman's story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's ballet The Nutcracker. A radical departure from the original portrayal of the character, Phillip was once a wooden nutcracker doll living in Clara Stahlbaum's Christmas tree as a decoration present, until he was brought to life in the Four Realms, a universe created by her mother to safeguard the realms from foreign influence, after Clara's passing into the new world. He accompanied Clara in her travels, although he stayed vigilant, as the regents and denizens of the universe warned the pair that the Four Realms were under constant threat by the mysterious Mother Ginger. Later on, Phillip and Clara uncovered a conspiracy plot, revealing the fairy Sugar Plum as the real mastermind behind these twisted events, leading them to confront the fairy in a climatic battle. After successfully stopping her, Phllip is nominated as captain of the guard for his services in the Four Realms.

He also appears in the second Disney Heroes vs. Villains, accompanying Clara and her allies in the fight against the forces of evil.
