Ferngully (also known as FernGully) is the main setting of the animated film, FernGully: The Last Rainforest, and its sequel adaptation, FernGully II: The Magical Rescue. A massive rainforest protected by the concern and wisdom of the fairy Magi Lune, and the courage and benevolence of her fairy friends, including Crysta, Pips, and Batty Koda. Yet the rainforest of FernGully is threatened by various evil forces including the spirit of destruction Hexxus, though it met resistance from said heroes with the inclusion of the human Zak Young, who managed to restore the rainforest to its previous state after Hexxus' desolation on the land.
Regarding the villain tournaments, FernGully is displayed by the tree of Hexxus, a form of captivity of the malevolent spirt, where many villain forces, including Hades and the Fire Demon, attempt to destroy it, and release the spirit for their own plots. It is mentioned as one of the realms threatened by the villain forces in Heroes vs. Villains War.
