The East India Trading Company was a British trade enterprise that lasted between 1600 and 1874, established after Sir Francis Drake's raiding voyage around the world. Initially trading with the Indian subcontinent and Southeast and East Asia, it would later become the rulers of several portions of India, most of Southeast Asia and Hong Kong, which was owned by the British during the later period of its lifespan, ending after the United Kingdom slowly liquidated its assets.
The film adaptation of the company from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise represents the forces of Lord Cutler Beckett in several villain tournaments.
