Discord is a major antagonist in the children's series, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. A demonic entity with a penchant for chaos, he is a secondary player in the second Disney Vs Non Disney Villains War and Cartoon Villains War.

Disney Vs Non-Disney Villains War - Part Two

Beginnings

The origins of Discord are objectively as bizarre and strange as he is.

In the early days of Olympus's pantheon, there were very few Gods Hades could call friend. One of these was Loki, the God of Mischief, and a fellow black sheep among the Gods that, like Hades, wasn't terribly well liked. Over this, Hades and Loki shared a bond.

Word eventually reached Hades of a few rogue Oberati planning a universal takeover. Hades quickly approached Loki with this news, as the two conspired to flush out the upstarts and, by doing so, become adored by the Gods and finally gain the respect they deserve.

Hades and Loki found the hideout of the three Oberati plotters; King Sombra, Queen Chrysalis, and Nightmare Moon. The three had a secret plan tyo build an army of unstoppable chnagelings, which were created by magic. The army was near completion, so Hades and Loki had to act quick.

Hades formulated a plan that involved Loki shapeshifting into a horse, such as the three Oberati, and distract them while Hades dealt with the Changelings. Everything went as planned, Loki presented himself as the fellow unicorn, Howling Snow. Unfortunately Nightmare Moon took quite a shine to Howling Snow...

With Loki inside, Hades intercepted and began work on attacking the Changelings. They were still early in their birth cycle, being hardly sentient beings at full growth, Hades did away with them at ease.

Inside, Howling Snow tried his hardest to insist he was, in no way, interested in Nightmare Moon. Sadly, Nightmare refused to take no for an answer. She cast a spell on Howling that bound him to her in marriage, whether he likes it or not, much to Loki's horror.

When they noticed the Changelings were destroyed, Sombra, Chrysalis, Nightmare, and her new mate, frustratedly made for home to formulate a new plan. There was ultimately nothing Hades could do to free Loki.

In their years as husband and wife, Nightmare Moon and Loki eventually had a child. However, Nightmare Moon was astonished to find it was most certainly not a fellow horse. What birthed was an Oberati Demi-God; Discord. Discord inherited his mother's skill with magic and his father's liking for mischief and Discord.

Much of Discord's childhood was flooded with argung between Loki and Nightmare Moon, who were growing increasingly unhappy with their lives togther (not as if Loki were happy in the first place). Such arguing became very familiar to the young Discord.

Diacord soon realized thaty he was vastly more powerful than Nightmare Moon. This was mainly because of his godly genes inherited from Loki. Discord ultimately decided to usurp his mother. The two fought, the battle ending with Discord sealing Nightmare away on the moon. With Nightmare Moon imprisoned, the spell was broken, allowing Loki to escape. (And yes, Hades owed Loki a major solid when he returned home.) This now left Sombra and Chrysalis forced to serve under Discord as they did his mother.

However, this havoc didn't go unnoticed by Oberon, king of the fairies and shifters. Sombra and Chrysalis fled as Oberon punished Discord for his (and his absent mother's) plotting by turning him to stone, and dumping him into the ocean.

The statue was found by John Silver, who often dabbled in magic legends, and saw this as an opportunity to get his revenge on Maleficent. He read that if two people argued around the dormant Discord, as his parents did, it would awaken him, and it was quite lucky that two of Maleficent's subordinates that got along least, Pete and Ursula, were keeping watch...

Maligning Maleficent

John Silver delivers Discord to the Forbidden Mountain, while the demon is trapped in stone, since Maleficent fails to pay him for Jafar's lamp. Discord soon breaks out of his encasing. Pete, his minions, and Maleficent's minions are frightened yet attack; Ursula, unafraid of Discord, also joins the fray. Discord uses his powers to loosen Pete's belt to make his pants fall down. He also zaps Ursula and Maleficen'ts guards with electricity. Discord smiles and teleports away.

Joining Eris

Eris finds Discord and proposes that he join forces with her faction. Discord accepts, stating that "Chaos is a wonderful thing," while Aku laughs evilly. Discord later introduces Eris to Queen Chrysalis and King Sombra, two other villains from Equestria; the devious demon plans to defeat all of the rest of Echidna's kin with them. He then proceeds to watch the two villains easily defeat Echidna's children. Gaston then defeats Chrysalis and destroys Sombra. Discord teleports away after watching the two being defeated.

The Battle of the Underworld

Discord attacks with the rest of Eris's alliance in the all-out battle for the Underworld. During the fight, Discord creates an explosive glass of chocolate milk, one that is surprisingly able to defeat Pain and Panic. However, Chaos arrives and turns Discord back into a statue.

Non-Disney Villains Tournament

Man to Beast

Discord appears in the lair of Doctor Robotnik due to a reality warp created by Infermon. While there, Discord decides to cause general havoc, transforming Robotnik into a snail, monkey, and pig, progressively. Discord soon finds himself threatened by a robot of El Supremo; unfazed, he creates a massive Big Ben behind the robot, lifting it sky high. Bored, Discord teleports away.

The Triumvirate of Terror

Discord joins Nox's faction, along with Him and Nergal, and readies for his next move. The Triumvirate attacks Myotismon, leader of the animated Legion of Darkness. Discord interrupts a small skirmish between Myotismon and Nergal, distracting the Digimon long enough for Nergal to shock him with an electrified tentacle. Discord then takes advantage of Myotismon's temporary blindness after an attack from Nergal; he fires a few blasts of energy at his foe. Unfortunately, Myotismon blocks all the attacks. Him arrives to vary up the mix; both he and Discord blast Myotismon at the same time, launching him through a building. Miraculously, Myotismon survives; not wanting to waste the energy, Discord teleports away.

So Good to Be Bad

The Triumvirate then heads after Red, a deadly hellcat. Before Red gets a chance to attack the group, Discord hypnotizes him into being loyal to them. Discord then unleashes Red's feral side, while Him teleports all four combatants to a city. There, Discord encourages Red to cause as much general mayhem as possible. Amidst the chaos, Discord summons legion after legion of undead cats.

Non Disney Vs DC Villains War

Discord appears in the introduction for the first round, where he is summoned by Bat-Mite to create a new world where the greatest villains of the DC and non-Disney universes battle for supremacy for Bat-Mite's amusement after the imp's favorite Batman TV show is canceled. Seeing an opportunity to create chaos, Discord agrees.

Cartoon Villains War

Vs Bill Chiper

Elsewhere, Bill Cipher heard of another creature named Discord, who had recently conquered the realm of Equestria. Fearing that the creature of chaos may be growing even more powerful than him, Bill set out to eliminate Discord. Travelling to Equestria, Bill challenged Discord to a duel. Believing that the small triangular creature would be easy to defeat, Discord accepted. Even though Bill grew to enormous size, Discord initially took the upper hand, nearly banishing Bill back to his own dimension. However, Bill managed to recover just in time, and revealed his true power, turning a terrified Discord to stone.

Freed

Zuko brought the statue of Discord to the Fire Nation, where Ozai presented it to Aku. Using his powers, Aku broke the stone prison and freed his brother. At long last, Discord was ready to rejoin the war.

Vs Chaos

Having been freed from his stone prison, Discord was welcomed back to the world of the living by his brother Aku. As the two brothers caught up, Discord discovered just how long he had been gone, and learned that in his absence, another creature of chaos had risen to take his place. Wanting to stretch his legs and remind the mortals of his power, Discord went to confront this new deity at his temple, where he challenged him to a battle of chaos. The creature, known only as Chaos, accepted this challenge, thinking it might be amusing. Discord began by transforming nearby woodland creatures into fearsome beasts to fight on his behalf. However, Chaos found himself in the strange position of restoring order for once, and transformed Discord's monsters back into harmless critters. Angered that Discord had pushed him to go against his nature in such a manner, Chaos pulled out all the stops and began to unleash a chaotic storm upon his rival. Terrified by this display and surprised by Chaos's power, Discord begged for mercy. Amused by how quickly Discord had been defeated, Chaos let his guard down for a moment. This turned out to be a mistake, as Discord had merely been feigning weakness, and took the opporunity to unleash his full power on Chaos, erasing him from existence.

Reveal who transformed him

Finally, Discord, observing the events that had taken place in his absence, discovered that his old enemy, Bill Cipher, was still at large. Discord warned Aku about the threat posed by Bill, and Aku, remembering his own history with the dream demon, decided to take measures against him.

Vs Nergal

Deciding that the time has come for him to bring about Weirdmaggedon, Bill Cipher sends Nergal and Vlad Plasmius to steal the inter-dimensional rift back from Aku. However, upon breaking into his lair, the two find the fortress protected by none other than Aku’s brother, Discord. While Vlad moves on to find the rift, Nergal faces off against Discord in a one-on-one duel...

Prepared for the final battle

Fire Lord Ozai holds a meeting of his generals to discuss strategies for their upcoming attack on the Gem/Earth Empire, when Samhain arrives to warn Aku that Bill is about to escape the barrier. Aku and Discord then depart to deal with Bill, forcing Ozai and Azula to proceed with the attack without their support.

Vs Cthulu

Weirdmaggedon is about to begin! Bill has managed to weaken the barrier just enough for one of his monsters to escape, and thus sends out Cthulu to begin ushering in his reign of chaos. Cthulu immediately sets about spreading destruction, but a certain spirit of chaos arrives to stop his rampage.

The Battle Of Weirdmaggedon

Despite Vlad’s failure, the satellite remained active just long enough to suit Bill’s goals, allowing the dream demon to finally break down the barrier. Now free, Bill’s army of demons, monsters, and criminals spread across the planet and begin to unleash hell on Earth, striking at Robotropolis, the Fire Nation, on the seas, and finally, New York, where the forces of Skeletor have just concluded their battle. The remaining forces make an attempt to fight back, but even with the arrival of Xanatos and the timely interference of No Heart, Bill’s armies still prove to be unstoppable. Just as it appears that all hope is lost, Aku, Discord, and Samhain make their appearance on the battlefield, bringing the armies of Hell with them, as an epic clash ensues. Will the world be consumed by chaos and darkness? Or will Aku and Discord bring about Bill Cipher’s ultimate undoing?

Celebrating

Aku and Discord celebrate their victory and their cemented status as the most powerful beings in the cosmos. or so they think.

Cartoon Villains War - Part Two

Hell Rebelion

Having rallied a small army of demons and rebellious souls under his leadership, Naraku reawakens the soul of a powerful sorcerer named Valtor, who has been imprisoned in Hell. With his forces assembled, Naraku leads them in a revolt against Aku. Will Hell fall to civil war? Or will Aku and his loyal forces receive some unexpected aid in crushing this rebellion?

Villains War: The Age of Animation

Vs Thanatos

There has been speculation that Hades would rule over Mount Olympus on the day when all the planets align. Of course the ruler of the underworld was interested in the throne, and the day was coming soon, however the Gods of Olympus were vast and powerful, so he couldn't do the job alone. Eager to rule over the souls of the River Styx, Thanatos takes control of a large beast, and travels to Mount Olympus, with his greatest rival, the god of plants, watching over the nearby valley and ordering two other gods, Discord and Zeus, to destroy his body. The King of all god's ego gets the better of him however, and he ends up being reduced to nothing but dust by the god's smog. The other two gods don't go easy on him however, as Arbutus cuts off his hand, and the god of mischief causes the beast to beast to implode, only leaving it's hand to run off, and meet back with his master.

A Quick Little Ally

Annoyed that someone else is praying for assistance just before a meeting, Discord quickly makes a Rhino Priest a Pink Elephant as an ally to assist him in the battle against Team Rocket.

Major Plans

Discord, alongside Hera, is one of the two gods that arrange a meeting with the other mystical mighty deities, and showing what he and Arbutus had witnessed: Thanatos being released from his prison, Zeus falling to his hands, and Hades being the culprit, largely due to his massive envy for Zeus' position among the god of gods. Upset at the loss of their king, the gods plan for a mighty blow to damage Hades and Thanatos' conquest.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Heroes Vs. Villains

Discord was released by Nightmare Moon's spell, and started to fight Aku and Merlock. Merlock used his Griffon form to kill him, but discord took his magic away. Merlock was never to be seen again. Aku wanted to destroy Discord, but Discord told him to go ahead and to take his best shot. Aku used his fire breathing to destroy him, yet Discord somehow still survived. Discord sucked Aku into a black hole where Aku became stuck in an unknown dimension for Eternity.

Joining his big brother

After taking the Underworld, Aku recieves a visit from his little brother, Discord.Although not impressed to see Discord,Discord wants to help the demon into conquering the world.

Trying to kill Chernabog

While waiting for Maleficent to summon him on Earth,Chernabog was attacked by Discord alongside two demons created by him, Nergal and Him. However, Bill Cipher arrives to attacks the monsters,which impressed Chernabog.Angered,Discord sent Nergal and Him to kill Cipher.After Him was killed by both Bill and Firebird,Discord and Nergal teleported away from Bald Mountain.

Pokemon Heroes vs Disney and Non Disney Villains-Part Two

Finding two new talismans

Two more talismans are located in France and New York, so Valmont dispatches the Mukhtar and Shendu's cousin, Discord to help find the talismans in France and New York. But as the two find them, they'll have to defeat May and Dawn first.

Vs Charizard Forces

With no master to defend France, Shendu decides to claim the country to himself. But before they can launch the invasion, Charizard swoops in with Entei and Venasaur, who'll stop at nothing to protect France, after the "death" of Ash Ketchum. Shendu and his forces will have to do their best stopping the three if they are to defeat the three. While that goes on, Drago sneaks off.

Vs Squirtle and Bulbasaur

With Shendu's reign in France, Squirtle and Bulbasaur are terrified of what will happen without their friend, Ash Ketchum. However, they comes across Discord who has many ways of Chaos he could use to defeat the two. However, Squirtle and Bulbasaur are strong enough to turn the goat-dragon into a statue.

Freed

With some days passed, Maleficent and her allies alongside Hades plot their next move. Both leaders are undecided, but Eris helps them by asking the mistress of all evil to summon a certain chaotic being. Maleficent summons this being as he reveals to be Discord, who has been released from the Spirit Realm (where he was trapped before the war). Hades asks him to send Maleficent in another dimension as he accepts.

Teleporting Hades and Maleficent

In the Underworld, Hades and Maleficent visit the Duke of Vaults as they discuss what to do as Maleficent plans to find new worlds to conquer and as well to gain allies. As Discord, from orders of the Duke, teleports them...

Making Facilier new leader

In Mount Olympus, Dr. Facilier gathers the other allies of Maleficent and Hades and informs them that he will take charge of Olympus so to avoid that new threats may try and conquer the mount. The allies as well as the Friends on the Other Side see potential in him, thus accepting him as their new leader in the absence of their bosses.

Vs Alastor

The Duke of Vaults, alongside Discord, Babidi, Dabura and Majin Buu, is plotting his next move, until the radio demon Alastor attacks them. The lord of the dead may have friends in high places, but what happens when two members of Hades and Maleficent's faction betray him and side with the radio demon?

Animated Villains War

Vs Mirage

After helping Toffee getting back his finger, upon returning home, Bill is greeted with a celebration of his minions. In the midst of all that, the mighty Egyptian entity Mirage appears and begs Bill for a challenge in global scale. Bill sends her to defeat the spirit of chaos inself,Discord. But,Mirage will discover that he has a lot of tricks upon his sleeves.

Finding allies

Discord meets a feline ally to band together against Bill Cipher and Mirage's sovereignty.Meanwhile, after Kaz defeat,Discord finds a new ally while rulling Equestria.After Moon is defeated,Discord and Captain Bloth meet and pledge allegiance to each other.

Vs Puck

Wanting to benefit somehow, Puck decides to accept Toffee and Mirage's proposal and agrees to kill Discord. Upon arriving in Equestria, Puck may regret his decision.

Vs Toffee

With the help of Mirage's wand, Toffee heads to Equestria determined to kill Discord once and for all. Amid lasers and the beast's mockery, Toffee doesn't seem shaken and teaches Discord a lesson.

Animated Villains War - Part Two

Revived

The Underworld Lords heads to Equestria for the statue of the then-lifeless ruler, Discord. The trio had really convincing plans for the Spirit of Chaos.After kidnapping Discord statue, the Underworld Lords resurrect the beast with a spell, much to Aku's joy.

Vs Nessus

Having just come back to life, Discord is tasked by Aku so he can join him, Abracadaver and Him as an Underworld Lord,proving himself for the trio. Aku tells him to eliminate one of the creatures Hades had sent into the human world:a centaur beast.

Became an Underworld Lord

After getting rid of Nessus, Discord finally joins the Underworld Lords. Abracadaver asks Aku if it had been a good idea to have such a threatening being as an ally, but Aku assures the Magical Zombie that he can be useful onwards.

Vs The Tracker

The underworld Lords are stunned by the arrival of The Tracker, an undead demonic being sent by Prince Phobos to attack them. The Tracker chains might be powerful, but they are no match for the 4 overlords and their new ally with chaotic powers.

Cuphead Bosses vs Non Disney Villains War

Freed

Eris and The Duke of Vaults decided to gather more allies for a future attack against Devil, so they freed Discord from his prison.Discord gladly accepted to serve the couple.
