Derek's Powers (also called Blight) is one of the primary antagonists of the animated television series, Batman: Beyond. A corrupte businessman, acting as the direct head of Wayne Enterprises and Power Technologies, Derek Powers is featured as the arch-nemesis of Terry McGinnis, the series' second incarnation of Batman, the latter to whom he killed his father. Powers appears in the later event of the series, as a mutated hybrid monster, under the influence of radiation, and as a side-effect, he uses radiation to his advantage, against his enemies. He is a secondary player in the Non-Disney vs. DC Villains War.

Derek Powers is featured in the war, working directly under Lex Luthor's company. While he is focused on his own research, he is suddenly intercepted by the Crimson Twins, Tomax and Xamot, demanding Zartan's release, since his capture by Lex Luthor, in the earlier events. Powers refuses, leaving the Crimson Twins to take action against him. Their cover is blown, as Powers guns them down. Surviving Powers' shots, Tomax and Xamot advance, eliminating Powers' sidekick in the process. They, then, toss an open gas extinguisher, right upon Powers, badly injuring him, before they would make their escape.
After the battle, Derek Powers goes through a chemotherapy, in order to heal his wounds, caused by the effects of the gas extinguisher.
