Derek is one of the primary protagonists of the film series, The Swan Princess. A royal prince and the heir of Queen Uberta, Derek becomes involved in a journey to free his love Odette from her swan transformation and defeat the corrupt sorcerer Rothbart. Even though it seems like an easy task for the prince, Derek would soon realize that the villains should not be underestimated, especially when Maleficent and her forces attempt to take control of the world in Heroes vs. Villains War.
