The Defenders of the Wild are the wild heroes, who make a stand against the forces of evil, protecting their homeland, including the forests, swamps, bayous, jungles and savannah. Featured as one of the main teams, on the side of the heroes, the Defenders of the Wild play a major role in Disney Heroes vs. Villains War.
This faction has an alternate incarnation in Worst Heroes and Villains War Ever: The Sandbox being called Defenders of Nature being in conflict against Shere Khan and his forces for control of the animal society.
