Debra "Deb" Morgan is the deuteragonist of the Dexter television franchise.
She is the adoptive sister of Dexter Morgan, the biological sister of Harry Morgan, Jr. and the biological daughter of Doris and Harry Morgan, and a detective-turned-lieutenant in Miami Metro Homicide. Debra begins her career as a troubled but well-intentioned officer working under her superior Maria LaGuerta, and frequently helps catch prolific serial killers.
However, after initially being distraught upon discovering that her brother Dexter is a vigilante serial killer himself, she eventually supports and conspires with him due to her unconditional loyalty and love. She is ultimately shot dead by serial killer Oliver Saxon, after which Dexter drops her body in the Atlantic Ocean. Following Dexter's move to Iron Lake, Debra frequently appears in his mind as a hallucination and serves as his inner conscience.
