Brer Fox is the main antagonist of the animated sequences of the Disney film, Song of the South. Brer Fox is a rarely featured villain in Disney paraphernalia, likely due to his touchy portrayal of ethnic stereotypes. He is a minor player in the first Disney Villains War.
Disney Villains War
Brer Fox finally catches his nemesis, Brer Rabbit, in one of his traps. Excited, he goes out to collect his prey. However, the Big Bad Wolf is also looking for a free meal. The wolf's sheer size terrifies Fox, who flees. When the wolf gets stuck in a tree due to a branch caught on his breeches, Fox gets in a good laugh at his rival's expense. The Big Bad Wolf retaliates by smashing a bee hive onto Brer Fox's head. No sooner does Brer Fox throw the hive back at the Big Bad Wolf than does the wolf blow it back at Brer Fox. Fox wisely sits out of the rest of the war.
