Bobo the Bear is a Muppet that first appeared on Muppets Tonight as the jovial but bumbling security guard at the KMUP TV studio. An imposing, yet easily amused and befuddled brown bear, Bobo has been featured as a major character in several Muppets films, including the 2011 film adaptation of The Muppets. In particular, he appears as secondary antagonist turned anti-hero in the film, being Tex Richman's henchman before disregarding him after his attempt to shut down the Muppets' theater show.
In the villain wars, Bobo appears as a bit player, assisting Tex and his allies on their goals to expand their influence upon the world.
