Lord Blackwood is the primary antagonist of the 2009 film, Sherlock Holmes. Not based on any actual Sherlock Holmes antagonist, Blackwood is a minor
player in the Non Disney Villains Tournament.

Blackwood, trapped in a British prison, gets a visit from Colonel William Tavington. Blackwood boasts that he will escape the prison and defeat Tavington in a duel; he even provides coordinates to the fight location. True to his word, Blackwood escapes and meets Tavington atop a large rig. The two clash blades, but Blackwood pulls a gun and shoots his rival. Thinking Tavington dead, Blackwood is ignorant to the rope around his foot. At the last second, Tavington cuts the rope and pulls Blackwood off the rig. Supported only by a few chains, Blackwood clings on for dear life. Tavington, however, shoots out the chains' support, leaving Blackwood to fall and hang.
