Benjamin is a supporting character in the George Orwell's novel Animal Farm, though assuming the role of the main protagonist in the 1954 film adaptation. A long-lived donkey who helps the animals, including his best friend Boxer, from taking over Mr. Jones' farm, and rename it Animal Farm. Of all the animals, Benjamin is the only one who doesn't have concern about power and uprising, since his beliefs remain the same throughout the years, with Napoleon becoming the fearsome dictator of Animal Farm in the process. While making a minor appearance in the Non-Disney Villains Tournament, Benjamin assumes a more eccentric role in Heroes vs. Villains War.
Non-Disney Villains Tournament[]
Benjamin briefly appears in the Battle of the Animal Farm, aiding the resistance of Napoleon against the forces of Mojo Jojo. During the battle, Benjamin knocks out several rabbits of General Woundwort. By the end of the battle, Benjamin leads the group of the animals, after being persuaded by Dolf, into Napoleon's lair, butchering the communist pig alive. He is not seen for the rest of the war.
