Avalanche is a minor Marvel supervillain given a far greater role in the television series, X-Men: Evolutions. A teen with the power to generate earthquakes, Avalanche is a major player in the Disney Vs Marvel Villains Wars.

Shifting Allegiances

When Demona attacks the lair of the Brotherhood of Mutants, Avalanche flees with most of his compatriots. He, however, soon encounters Hades, who proposes an alliance with him. Avalanche agrees, seeing more power with the god of the dead. He soon meets Maleficent, Hades's partner and superior: she promises him the heart of his beloved Kitty Pryde in exchange for his assistance. Avalanche agrees, traveling with Captain Hook.

Next Stage

Avalanche and Hook return from their voyage to find Maleficent missing and Snow White in the throne room. Maleficent eventually returns, tasking Hook and Avalanche with acquiring the Casket of Ancient Winters from Malekith. Avalanche and Hook track the dark elf down. Avalanche applies a potion developed by Ursula to turn himself into a rock monster; the transformation process briefly gives him immunity to Malekith's magical strikes. Malekith gathers up more strength and wipes out two of Avalanche's monstrous heads. Knowing himself outclassed, Avalanche transforms back into his traditional form and flees.

If the war wouldn't have been canceled, Avalanche would have interrogated Loki and would have discovered that the white light power that he had was actually the remaining Angelic grace that Chernabog had left in him (angelic grace being the remnants of his fall as Lucifer). Then he would have killed Maleficent and would have freed himself of darkness for good.

Serving Duncan

Avalanche is among the criminals who have been recruited by Nagito Komaeda to support the plans of his best friend, Duncan, in halting the threat of the "Invaders". However, he is able to stop Duncan from massacring another recruit of Nagito's, Alejandro, for what he made him do in a television show called Total Drama World Tour. Then, alongside the other recruits of the faction (those being Henrietta Von Marzipan, Cecil Terwilliger, Sideshow Bob, Heather, Courtney and Harm), he manages to stop Duncan as they begin planning after the punk calmed down.
