The Ant colony is a swarm of ants inhabiting a dry riverbed, first appearing in Pixar's animated film A Bug's Life. Known for harvesting seeds for Hopper's ruthless grasshoppers in exchange for the colony's continued existence, the ants detested cooperation with their tyrannical rulers, though their ruthless behavior kept them occupied from forming rebellions. Still, the morale of the ant colony was boosted after seeing Flik's efforts in action. Eventually, the ants managed to overthrow their tyrannical leaders with the help of Flik and his allies.
The Ants also appear in the second Disney Heroes vs. Villains as among the dwarfish heroes who join an independent organization to counter a major crisis that target the world.
