Anansi is a minor antagonist in the animated TV series, Gargoyles, and a minor player in the Disney Vs Marvel Villains War and the second Disney Vs Non Disney Villains War.

Mirage hires Anansi to take out some of Skeletor's lieutenants after the skeletal sorcerer ousts her from Agrabah. Anansi journeys to the city and attacks but ends up facing Beast Man. He initially overpowers his opponent, but Beast Man summons a horde of panthers to distract the spider. While Anansi deals with them, Beast Man severs Anansi from his web. On his back and unconscious, Anansi is helpless to stop Tri-Klops from dealing a fatal blow.

After Kraven is mutated and turned into a major threat, Nuka and Zira see him as a mjor threat and enlist Anansi to assasinate him. Anansi corners Kraven and tries to wrap him in his web; however, Kraven is too strong, as he ultimatley breaks his way out and sends Anansi falling from his web nest, knocking hm out.
